Languages, Culture & Identity

The way we speak, the language we think in, and the culture we come from are deeply connected to how we experience pain, intimacy, shame, anger, or belonging.

Race, migration, gender, class, and family expectations can influence how we express suffering — and how it is misunderstood.

I offer therapy in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French, allowing you to choose the language that feels safe, private, or emotionally genuine.

You are welcome to move between languages in sessions.

This work may be particularly valuable for people who:

Have lived between cultures or countries

Have experienced racial trauma or discrimination

Feel caught between identities, expectations, or languages
