How I Work

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is a reflective, relational approach. We explore not only immediate difficulties, but also how earlier experiences continue to shape thoughts, emotions, and relationships today.

In our sessions, we may notice:

Emotional patterns that repeat in relationships

Feelings that appear suddenly or feel overwhelming

Responses rooted in past experiences of harm, neglect or abuse

Parts of the self that feel fragmented, silenced, angry, or ashamed

The structure of therapy offers consistency, containment, and time to think together. I work at the same time every week, usually once weekly; in some situations we may consider more frequent sessions.

My role is not to give advice or solutions, but to help you come into contact with your own emotional truth, history, and inner authority.
